FTP Basics using WS FTP LE

Here is a screen shot and an explantion of the fields for the two used tabs in WS_FTP LE (the most commonly used ftp software).

Profile Name: Can be anything that describes your website to you.

Host Name/Address: Can be one of the following depending on where you site is exactly hosted:

• 64.235.49.208

  If you dont know, you can ping your site name or you can contact us and ask.

Host Type: Leave on Auto Detect

User ID: Should have been assigned by Optimus Media.

Password: Should have been assigned by Optimus Media.

Account and Comment fields can be left blank.

Click on the "Start up" tab.

Initial Remote Site Folder:

"/httpdocs" or "/web" (remove quotes and be sure to include slash if using "/web")

Initial Local Folder:
This is the location of your website on your harddrive.
